Mastering The Art Of Communication
Veronica Armstrong is an effective communications consultant and a lawyer. She is passionate about showing how authentic communication breaks down barriers and creates connection.
Veronica is a highly regarded speaker and has led many workshops in various topics. She is a popular presenter at organizations like UBC, SFU, Douglas College, Dress for Success and the International Association of Administrative Professionals. She has encouraged women to stand up and speak, inspired them to take the next small step towards their big dreams, and coached them in vocal dynamics. She has also led workshops on effective business writing at many government agencies, financial institutions, and companies.
In 2013, she was named BC Toastmaster of the Year for her role in helping corporate clubs optimise Toastmasters communications and leadership programs in their workplaces. She also received the Effective Communications award while working for a government agency.
Before her arrival in Canada, Veronica was head of the international and corporate legal team of a major South African bank. In South Africa, she founded the Hong Ning Chinese Aged Home and was an auxiliary member of Boys Town South Africa and a founding member of Masifundeni Adult Literacy Association. She was recently recognized by The Chinese Association of South Africa for her community service in founding Hong Ning.
Veronica continues to work in the community through various volunteer opportunities. She is a former director of the Professional Legal Education Cooperative Association of BC and a former mentor with the Women Lawyers Forum. She indulges her love of singing through her church choir and The Richmond Singers. She is the proud mother of three children.
